We begin with a local anesthetic to ensure a painless treatment. Once the area is numb, Dr. Boudreault makes a tiny incision (2 mm) through which he can pass the slim wand of the Aveli handpiece under the skin. The device lights up over the skin to indicate each cellulite-causing septa band as he continues to glide the handpiece below. These specific septa bands are released with the press of a button. The Aveli Cellulite Treatment process takes approximately one hour, depending on the amount of cellulite and the number of areas treated and improvements are immediate.
The beauty of Aveli Cellulite Treatment is that there is practically zero downtime! Some patients may initially feel sore in the treated areas, but most feel comfortable enough to resume normal activities 24 to 48 hours later. We advise that you limit heavy lifting and lower body workouts for one or two weeks to heal the underlying tissues. You should also avoid alcohol, smoking, Vitamin E, NSAIDs, and blood thinners for a few days before and after your treatment. Mild tenderness, swelling, and bruising are common after Aveli cellulite treatments. It may take up to 30 days for all swelling and bruising to subside and for you to see your smoother skin as a result. Final results are realized by about three months.
